This month we highlight Diana Abrigo as our Employee of the Month. Diana joined Affinity Home Care Agency in October 2019 as the intake coordinator. She came to Affinity from Beaumont Hospital where she had been a contracted scheduling coordinator since 2009. Diana says choosing to work in healthcare has been an easy choice because she loves to help people with their health, well-being and peace of mind. Having Diana at the phones, coordinating all aspects of Affinity and the attention to our families’ care, has been a wonderful addition to the Affinity team. From the first day, Diana has become a friend, coworker and advocate for everyone she serves. She was surprised at how easily it clicked. Her favorite parts of the job are the extended family and knowing she is “the one that sets a plan into action.” Since Affinity is an essential business, our office has never closed during the pandemic of covid-19. Diana has often been alone in our office, answering phones, coordinating care and making the right connections. It is amazing to think that Diana just started at Affinity in October. Many families call and ask for Diana because they know she can help them with whatever they need.
When Diana isn’t in the office, she unwinds at home cooking. It has become a favorite pastime and she is quite the chef! Her husband, Daniel is thrilled! It is a great way to enjoy an evening. Diana, Daniel and their adorable bulldog, love relaxing at home. Diana has a 27yr old son, Nicholas, who lives in South Carolina. I bet he misses Diana’s cooking!
Diana has really found a home at Affinity. She is incredibly kind and helpful in every aspect of her work and interactions at Affinity. We are stronger having Diana at the helm. The staff of nurses, therapists, Dr. Jerry and everyone at Affinity thank you, Diana, for doing an amazing job! You are sometimes holding down the fort alone during this time, but we know we are in very capable hands. We are lucky to have you on our team.
